Save a Copy as problem

I have a script that is executed from a button to backup my database.  I specify a backup file name in the "Save a Copy as" script step.  However, it creates 2 backups!  One with the name I specified and one with the filename of the file I am backing up.

For example,

Set Variable [ $BackupFileName ; Value: "XYZ_backup.fmp12" ]

Save a Copy as [ $BackupFileName ; copy of current file ; Create directories: off ]

These script steps create 2 files.  One is XYZ_backup.fmp12 and the other is XYZ.fmp12 where XYZ is the name of the file I am backing up.

The script used to have additional script steps to save a backup and then the original file:

Set Variable [ $BackupFileName ; Value: "XYZ_backup.fmp12" ]

Save a Copy as [ $BackupFileName ; copy of current file ; Create directories: off ]

Set Variable [ $BackupFileName ; Value: "XYZ.fmp12" ]

Save a Copy as [ $BackupFileName ; copy of current file ; Create directories: off ]

but now I get an ERROR 800 and the dialog box states:

"XYZ.fmp12" could not be created on this disk.

Use a different name, make more room on the disk,

unlock it or use a different disk.

Is this normal behavior?  If so, when did it change?
