I hope Nice day to all
I was wondering how i can stop this modal dialog from appearing when user clicks an empty space. i do not have any records in the layout. kindly find below it
Use the Set Error Capture [On] in the script that leads to this situation.
If there is no script, you may want to rethink how a user ends up with no records and control the experience better.
Unfortunately, you cannot suppress the message when clicking on the layout in list view, but it does not show in Form view unless the user clicks into a field. So what I do on my list layouts is run an OnRecordLoad trigger that will switch to Form View if no records are found, and List View if there are records to display.
OnRecordLoad Script steps:
If [ GET ( FoundCount ) = 0 ]
View As [ View as Form ]
View As [ View as List ]
And all your fields on the layout need to have a hide condition so they are not clickable when user is in Form view, I base the hide condition on the ID being empty for my solutions.
Hide object when:
IsEmpty ( TABLENAME::ID )
This also allows you to put a nice message on the layout that lets the user no that no records are found if needed, just text in the body that has a hide condition of 'Not IsEmpty ( TABLENAME::ID )'
I hope this helps
Thanks a lot is working fine Mr.Orlando
