I need a function or calculation process for the following:

To determine if a school is “underserved” or not, there are 7 indicator conditions, each expressed as TRUE or FALSE in its own field. If ANY 3 of these fields returns TRUE, then the schools is “Underserved.” It can be any 3 of the 7 fields.

What’s the most efficient way to do this?

Thanks!

Usually, a boolean true value is indicated by a 1 and False is indicated by a 0 or empty field. If this is the case in your database, a calculation field called "Underserved" could have the following expression:

If ( indicator1 + indicator2 + indicator3 + indicator4 + indicator5 + indicator6 + indicator7 ≥ 3 ; 1 ; 0 )

The result will be 1 (true) if 3 or more indicators are true.
