Well, I keep finding new ways to be frustrated with the IOS App SDK.
I'm recording sound on an IOS device and storing it in a container field. I am also capturing a video from an IOS device and storing that in a container field.
In IOS App SDK 17.0.3, this works beautifully. I am using Xcode 9.4.1. Of course, since SDK 17.0.3 is broken because of the "background location" requirement, I thought I would use IOS App SDK 16.0.4, again with Xcode 9.4.1. The app compiles, and starts and runs just fine, and you don't have to have location updates checked.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to put sound or video in a container field. I checked, and photos work fine, but no active files with it. I also works fine in FileMaker Go 17.
I wonder if it might be related Xcode 9.4.1?
I noticed that IOS App SDK 17.0.3 requires at least Xcode 9.2. I wonder if I downgraded to an earlier version of Xcode if it might solve the problem. Does anyone remember what version of Xcode was around when IOS App SDK 16 was introduced?
