Passing a param in an email link to web direct subs a Pilcrow for 'para'm=

My script sends an email to a customer with a link to a WebDirect credit application form.

The URL I use is:

https://fmd.woodfruitticher.com/fmi/webd/CreditApplication?script=Startup&param=6670F511-5E47-45DA-A2B9-3F985DD06074

(the UUID of course is different for each customer).  This works as expected when this URL is copied and pasted into a browser.

However, when the link appears in the email, the 'para' in param has been replaced with a pilcrow character (¶) so I get:

https://fmd.woodfruitticher.com/fmi/webd/CreditApplication?script=Startup&¶m=6670F511-5E47-45DA-A2B9-3F985DD06074

Which of course, doesn't work.

The email will always be sent from an iOS device, using the iOS email client.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
