When uploading to a FM17 Server from FMAdvanced, I can select the server, but I cannot access the Login fields and therefore can't login. Any thoughts?
The issue you could be facing could be Port related. Basically Port 80 and 443. Or it could be the SSL you have set up. It may not be properly imported. Meaning you could be messing the intermediates. There could be an issue with the SSL, in that it is not base64 encoded.
Try adding the Servers IP address as a favorite and see if it works. This will let you know if it is an SSL issue or not. That's going to be your best starting point.
So, I can upload from a windows device, but the Mac using Mojave and FM17 Advanced will not upload. As I said originally, I can pick the host, but cannot access the fields to login to the server to begin upload.
This is a MAC only issue at this point.
Here are a few questions for you then.
Do you have another Mac with Mojave to confirm for sure that it is MAC?
Have you tried uploading with a Mac Safe boot, therefor removing all third parties as a probability to your issue?
What about making sure your Ports are being blocked on the Mac alone?
Have you tried bot local and public access on the Mac?
What about using FMP16 on the same Mojave machine that has 17 on it?
Have you tried a new, local, admin user on the Mojave machine?
If not, I would look into all of those.
I've checked a few of the items. I will check the others and respond to those
Do you have a Mac not upgraded to Mojave ? If so, please try from that Mac. My guess is the issue could be with Mojave: there could be a few flies in the ointment at this time with Mojave.
Can you go to the folder "~/Library/Application Support/FileMaker/Shared" and remove/rename the file "permittedlist.txt"?
Restart FileMaker and try again.
Does this solve your issue?
No. I don’t have a “Shared” folder
In ~/Library/Application Support/FileMaker/“ the only folder is FileMaker Server
The folder is not on your FileMaker Server but on the Mac where your client is installed.
Just a note, It's in the application support folder of your user Library folder.
Yes, I know that is where I checked. It is not there.
Normally the "FileMaker Server" folder is in the folder "/Library/Application Support/FileMaker/", not in the folder "~/Library/Application Support/FileMaker/". Are you looking into the correct User Library?
