FMS Security - LocalHost vs IP Address?

My FMS has its own IP address with a URL.  The Server has a current SSL certificate so that when clients and the administrator (me) go to the server site we get the lock key showing and there are no access problems.  All good.

However, when I am working locally on development or using the Admin-Console, if I try to access using localhost or the name of the server (this case JODIE-iMac.local) Safari and Chrome get all upset because the connection is not secure.  See screenshots below.  Is there are way that I can make the local connection secure too?

My current certificate does not cover the local connection.
