The DemoSlides file was showing 4 users connected when there were actually no users connected. Disconnected the users individually. Now the file won't open up. Thoughts?
The FMS event log will usually tell you why a file cannot be opened. The red indicator shouldn't stay up very long though, just during the act of closing or opening. If it is on for a long time perhaps the file is going through a consistency check? That would mean something else potentially bad happened earlier.
In any case: start with the event log and let us know what it says.

Looks like the only thing that happened today is when I closed the file.
The DemoSlides is still stuck with a red dot. The choices are greyed out so I can't open, download, or remove the file.
By the way, this is a tiny file with 4 slides in container fields.
and the last entry in the event log is still the 'closing' entry?
Then I'm afraid the server is not in a good state, if you feel you've given it enough time, restart the server and revert back to a good backup of the file.
