More Performance Stuff PSOS

I have a layout with tabs which are full of unstored calculations.
(Not my design)

When users go from tab to tab it can take a minute to change as it recalcs all the unstored calcs in the next tab.

I thought, let me change them to plain number fields and use some flags and triggers to copy the value of the unstored calcs to matching number fields only if there have been changes.

To really speed this up my script runs on the server. However doing some testing, using PSOS is actually about 40% slower than running it on the client. (Both are too slow)

I have no idea what they're using for a server other than it's FM 16.     (Intel Xeon E5-2640 v2 @ 2.00Ghz ) I was a assuming even a slow server would be faster than a client over the network.

Any ideas?
