SSL certificate for LAN?

For a customer we are setting up a solution that (also) connects through the API. Nothing new there, but this solutions resides in their own LAN. When trying to connect to the API from Postman I get the message back that there is no response:

Why this might have happened:

  • The server couldn't send a response:Ensure that the backend is working properly

  • Self-signed SSL certificates are being blocked:Fix this by turning off 'SSL certificate verification' in Settings > General

  • Proxy configured incorrectlyEnsure that proxy is configured correctly in Settings > Proxy

  • Request timeout:Change request timeout in Settings > General

Most likely is the lack of an SSL certificate. But as far as I have looked there is no solution (other than reinstalling the server) to turn off the SSL verification. I understand security, but by my knowledge it is not possible (neither necessary) to get a certificate for these purposes.

My question is how to turn it off. And if not possible through the interface, why isn’t it possible.
