Grouping information in portals

I'm trying to create a CRM dashboard that has a portal showing how many estimates we've provided for each client.

I have a CRM table that the dashboard layout is using.

I would like a portal showing our Clients sorted by how many Estimates we've done for each of them, within a certain date range (with the date range set in the CRM table).

What is the best way of doing this in the relationships?

I'm thinking something like this:

CRM::g_DateFrom<=Estimates::DateSent
CRM::g_DateTo>=Estimates::DateSent

and then in the portal I don't know how to group the Clients together and show some summary information of the Estimates. I'm assuming I should base the portal on Clients rather than Estimates but I'm not sure.

Estimates are also linked to Clients:

Estimates::_fk_Client=Clients::__pk_ID

Eventually, I'd like the portal to show the client we've done most estimates for at the top, with a count of the estimates, total of value, size, etc... Then how many were converted to new contracts...

Any help would be much appreciated!
