I love the Mac however the most recent update to the Mac Mini has left me pondering where to go from here.

As a FMS machine, a midrange 2018 Mini with decent specs will make a good FMP server. It will also make a very expensive client machine for my staff.

We’re using a couple dozen Mac machines right now and our preferred version is the Mini. This is primarily for the ability to easily have multiple displays. Yes yes I know the iMac can too but there’s something to be said for them being the same size and easily repositionable.

Why isn’t there a $499 Mini????

Why can’t I run server on a much less expensive, more upgradable Windows 10 Pro machine?

Why doesn‘t FileMaker let us have the Linux version they’re running on Amazon so we can have killer servers?

Is there any reason not to move to Windows 10 Pro on the client side?
