Suggestion About Progressive Backup Path Please?

When I look at my server box, “Backups” and “Live” folders are under D:/FMS as expected

Similarly, when I look at FOLDERS on the server console page, DEFAULT BACKUP FOLDER

PATH is on “D”, as is the ADDITIONAL DATABASE FOLDER (“LIVE”)

BUT “DEFAULT DATABASE FOLDER” is on “C” under Program Files/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/

data…

Minor question: Why do we have a "Default Database Folder?"  If I have it correct, this spec interferes with progressive backup path if you wanted to use "C" drive for the latter.

Major question: Can I  use “C” for the PROGRESSIVE BACKUP PATH if I turn off “automatically open database files when starting

server;”or, do I need to specify a different DRIVE OTHER THAN “C.” (Certainly not “D”)

Bottom Line: How is PROGRESSIVE BACKUP PATH typically defined please?

Thank you

John Gagne
