Problem: accidentally hitting cmd+0 deletes all of the records in a separate table.  How can I stop this from happening?

I have a database with multiple tables.  When I'm in one table and hit cmd+0, it deletes all of the records in one of the other tables.  I discovered this accidentally when I was trying to insert the current date with the cmd+- shortcut.  It does not matter what table I am in when the command is hit, it always deletes the records from the same specific table.  Any suggestions of how I can stop this from happening?
