I have a client that currently has a small network controlled by a Server 2012 Essentials R2 server. They have been using Filemaker 11 shared on the workstations, but are now moving to Server 17. I am setting up a Thinkserver TS150 for this: Xeon E3, 8GB RAM, 2x250GB Samsung SSDs in RAID 1 on the onboard Intel RAID, Server 2016 Standard that will be a member server on the domain.

Any recommendations for basic setup, tweaks, etc on this system. Not sure about partitions. I see recommendation is separate for OS and databases, but I also see posts that when using SSDs, better to just keep it all on one partition. The FM server will be backed up to the 2012 server which is backed up to an IOSafe drive. Should I leave Server 2016 as is after a basic install or should I turn off services not needed? Its a small office, I think only 3-4 actual FM users.
