Suddenly when I open the Filemaker program or the online app my "new record" and "delete record" buttons are greyed out, however when my colleagues sign in to the online version, their buttons are live. Anybody know a reason for this?
Did you check the user permissions?
Also there is some help here: fm go "add / delete record" greyed out
Is sounds like a custom menu could be the culprit if you are using one.
Everything in my "manage" menu is greyed out as well. I'm not the developer of the site, I only add items so I am lost as to how I can change user permissions. I am also suddenly getting messages about the connection not being encrypted and I have never seen this pop-up before.
Did you have a minute to look through this thread - fm go "add / delete record" greyed out
Kudos for attempting a resolution on your own but I would attempt to reach out to a developer or someone with admin rights to File Maker, although you may find a fix on your own this could be a sign of another issue that they may need to be aware of. Showing the connection is not encrypted means something with the secure connection is broken, this could be a certificate, user issue, LAN issue, computer or server issue, really the list is endless. Again I give you props for trying to figure it out but I think I would reach out to someone if possible.
