Chrome Version 70.0.3538.110
Mac OS X 10.12
Just about a week ago when I try and log onto WebDirect with Chrome I get:
Privacy Error: Your connection is not private
Anyone else seeing this?
No issues with Safari or FireFox.
Do you use SSL? Recent Chrome would alert on all HTTP access.
Other sites that are HTTP show "Not Secure" in the web address bar but I don't get an error as I do with webdirect.
I guess you see error state
then clicking it shows
Subject: FMI Default Certificate
If so, you need to purchase and install your cert for your server.
I'm using Triple8 for my hosting.
So you're saying they need to update their cert?
You didn't answer my question, do you really see the error message I wrote? It means the FMS is running with default cert, it is provided only for testing (and it cause error on some cases, so don't fully work also for testing..).
I don't know about Triple8. Is it FileMaker hosting that you only use FMS, they installed it ?
If you installed FMS on anotherone's domain, I don't know it can work well with SSL.
I hope someone more experienced come in.
I get this error:
Wow. It is completly different thing what I wrote. I hadn't know about it.
Information for website operators about distrusting Symantec certificate authorities - Apple Support
The same is happening with my GoDaddy certificate. I bought one of the "cheap" ones.
I guess I'll buy a stronger, wildcard certificate for the next year.
Chrome 72 the newest update fixes this issue.
Sorry spoke too soon. Still seeing the security issue with Chrome 72.
Search on the Community, I think that Symantec issued certificates are now blocked.
