Recently I asked a question about BACKUPS and MACHINE SNAPSHOTS.
Please allow me to pose another question.
It seems like a good practice to allow machine snapshots of backup files; but, to EXCLUDE LIVE FILES from this procedure.
But what about PROGRESSIVE BACKUPS. I'd be temped to exclude these from machine snapshots too because of potential timing conflicts. With progressive's taking place at a relatively quick pace, one might try to run at the same time a machine snapshot might take place. And yet, since progressives only deal with changes in database files, there probably would not be a change to log during off hours when a machine snapshot would take place.
Any thought please?
