The server forgot its license, and closed all the database. We have a valid license so I to re-imported it but this shouldn't have happened.
Has this been seen by anyone or reported?
Thank you for your post.
I have only seen one similar report on the forum:
FMS 17 License Certificate
Could this be the cause?
Thank you for your response.
I only used one admin account, so not my cause.
Also, even if he used two different accounts, why would that cause the
license to be invalidated?
In the other post, the license was trying to re-authenticate and failed, closing all databases.
Is the server on a closed network?
What information appears in the Event.log at the time the license failed?
What operating system is the server?
Is there a plug-in installed/enabled?
I will take a look at the log. I noticed this on Friday at around 8:55 when
I noticed a related DB wasn't open.
We have 3 17 servers on a closed network. Only one had this issue.
It's a Mac Mini with Sierra. And thus happened while I was sleeping.
Let me see what I can find in the log. Will we get the log viewer back in
the admin console at some point?
Regarding a (lack of) log viewer in the Admin Console, I recommend posting this request on the Product Ideas board at:
The Product Ideas board is monitored by Product Management and Development. All entries are read, discussed and considered for possible implementation in a future release.
