Is it possible to color a diagram with our own colors or must we use the predefined color schemas provided by filemaker?
If you are on Mac, and are talking able the database file's Relationship Diagram, you can click Other Color at the bottom, then use Apple's color picker, which has numerous options.
As there is no "theme" styles, you can use the Picture icon to store a custom palette for a project:
Also on Windows. The "other colors" (which should be colours, but that is a whole other argument ) is available, where you can set whatever colour you wish. You can then add upto 16 of these colours to "custom colors" to build up your own palette.
Good point! I forgot to mention storing colors. It was such a necessity in FMP 11!This shot shows the max amount you can store in Colors palette. Similar to storing in Inspector.
There is also an app on Mac called Digital Color Meter to help you snag colors from anywhere on the screen.
I would have thought "diagram" means "chart". So the answer would be no.
I also got it as 'charts'
The next question would be: 'Are any other methods out there?'
(the missing custom colors are making the built-in charting tool often useless)
- webviewer with a service like google charts
- there are plugins available that could serve well
Indeed, I've meant chart. Its actually a bit sad that this functionality is not included.
