(This is for those who - like me - searched a lot but couldn't find the basic answer)
When you have a WebDirect solution, and you want (obviously) your users to log out, the easiest way to do so is to close all Filemaker Virtual Windows as per manual instructions in the FileMaker WebDirect 17 Guide - Step 7 .
Practically, you call a script with script step Close Window if you only have a single window web solution offered to your user.
What will the user see next?
By default, your user will be returned to the initial /fmi/webd screen to choose another FM database.
If you want to display a custom home page:
- set a homeurl parameter in the initial URL the user has used to arrive to your FM solution. When logging out, this homeurl will be used instead of the default login screen.
- check FileMaker WebDirect 17 Guide - Custom Homepage how you can change the default home page URL itself, thus avoiding exposing all of your databases in a default layout.
