Is FileMaker Pro 16 basically the same as FileMaker Advanced Pro?

I just upgraded the system at my workplace and need to make a customized set of papers and forms. The last FileMaker Pro we had I think was like the 3.0 version on a desktop that was windows based. It was setup nicely by someone a long time ago but I've since gotten a new desktop and the files won't transfer over. I figured that the setup would roughly be the same and it is, but I was looking to buy a manual book online, kind of like a step by step guide. I found the book called "Learn FileMaker Pro 16: The Comprehensive Guide to Building Custom Databases by Mark Conway Munro and was wondering if anyone on here was familiar if this book would work on the FileMaker Advanced Pro that I have on my computer? I don't want to invest in a $50.00 book that isn't relevant to what I am trying to do? Any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated by all on here. Thank you!
