Will I be able to import a Filemaker 9 DB into the current version of FM?
Yes, as David (davidhead) has already pointed out, you can simply open it in FM17 and it will be converted for you. There is no need to import. Once it is converted, you can of course import records from this file into another FM file if that is what you need/want to do. And if that is what you require, you would have had to take this step anyhow, as you cannot import directly from a previous-format FM file.
The file will have the .FP7 extension. It can be opened directly in FileMaker Pro 17 and will be converted as a copy (you will still have the FP7 file as a backup).
