Is there a way to take out or adjust items from the context menu? For example, for some reason I always see a menu item named "Chart..." what is this and where is this coming from?
is it possible to create custom context menus?
You can write your own labels based upon Calculations, so "Customer Chart", "Person Chart" or what you want and the choose a script or a native FM script step to be run
Do you have an example project for me, please, that shows how to take out menu items I don’t need to see? I’m not sure I understand what you mean.
See example file
Thanks! Is this same kind of editing also possible to contextual menus? I understand the proces of creating custom menus in the menu bar, but don’t understand how to do this with the mouse menu.
As far as I know, not to full the extent that one would like.
If the item in the contextual menu also appears in the normal menus, renaming/changing the behavior of an item will also apply to the contextual menu.
However, there are also items that appear in contextual menus - like "Chart by" - which don't appear in the standard menus and thus can't be controlled this way.
The "Chart by" contextual menu item specifically can be removed if you set Available menu commands to Minimum for a privilege set.
There are also plugins that allow you to control the contextual menu (like the MBS plugin).
Yes, but the problem is that setting the available menu items in privileges to minimum, it locks out the custom menu I made.
The ”Minimum” option does mostly put more restrictions than you want - I was only mentioning how it works, I rarely if ever use this myself.
Howver, Minimum completely breaking a custom menu doesn’t sound expected. Are you able to upload a sample file?
