Has any one installed FMS on Windows Server 2019 yet? Please share your feelings and experiences if so.
Given that it is not supported and that FMS pretty much is the cornerstone of any stable deployment: why would anyone spend any time on it? Whatever findings are going to be fairly meaningless.
I get that is essentially a bad idea use in production... but for those of us who are on the bubble of Microsoft Server licencing there is curiosity to explore it. I'm guessing (hoping) that it will be will be supported this year I'm dipping my toe in the water with a test server.
I only say that I am glad that windows server 2012 R2 has still until october 2023 extended support from MS. Hope that FMS will continue to support it.

But to what purpose? Either it will work or it won't but there is nowhere to go with that info because it has no value whatsoever, so IMHO the knowledge is not worth the time you'd spend on it.
There are some significant performance improvements with Windows 2019. We are having trouble with FileMaker ODBC on FileMaker v17, we get an error "There was a problem connecting to the host. (20602): Can't create a connection". Which we haven't been able to solve as of yet, but we are working on it. If anyone has had any experience with resolving this issue any help would be appreciated. Thank You!
Any success jsanders?
I am interested as we are currently using Filemaker 16 across our site and cannot progress any further due to the 2008R2 OS on our servers. My task in March is to upgrade the OS on 7 virtual servers, one of which is home to our Filemaker server.
Windows Server 2019 is based on the 2016 foundation so not a huge leap forward. All our other software vendors list Server 2019 as compatible already so Filemaker are lagging in that respect which may be a bad sign...
I tried but WebD haven't worked yet.
After booting OS, master machine can't start. Using CLI could fix it.
fmsadmin restart jwpc
It was released 6 months ago so I'd be very surprised / disappointed if FM 18 does not fully support it.
