Would there be a way to show text "Completed" in the portal when data is entered what record is complete. The button is set to preform new record request when pushed.
how is a "completed" record identified? I am assuming a field with text "completed" or maybe a 1 value
1) Add A Text Object and use the inspector "hide object"
2) one possibility is to use a single button button bar, and you can write a calculation for the text to change if field="completed"; "completed"; "whatever else")
Every recent version of FileMaker adds more tools to your UI toolkit, so there are plenty of options depending on what exactly you want. One thing I have done is to have a popover button set to always be hidden, but a "go to object" that references the popover panel will cause the popover to activate and display. Then in my script, go to object to display the popover, which shows my message, pause for a second or two, enable animation, then close. That way it kind of fades away.
You could also show a card window, trigger a slider, etc. Lots of options.
