I am new to this forum, so hello everybody! :-)
I am experiencing strange behavior with my FileMaker solution. The solution is built in FM16 and the file is shared in the local network for clients to log-on to the solution for testing purposes on an iPad. The iPads are running FileMaker Go 16.
The solution uses global variables to hide certain elements of the solution. These global variables can be altered and therefore the user can see different fields in his solution.
Now, when the clients are logged-in to the solution, this is all good. Until the global variables are changed in the file. In Filemaker 16 all works as expected. But the FM GO solution does not reload the global variables. Therefore the layouts don't reflect the changed status of the global variable. It still shows the old value.
The only way to solve this, is to close the file on FM GO and reconnect to the file on the host computer.
My question is, if this is behavior is correct and if there is a workaround?
Thanks a lot already for your inputs!
