Script failures after a network change

I have had script failures after a network change. I am scripting in FM14; the other Macs are using FM12. Most of the Macs are running 10.12.6 Sierra, one 10.8.5. All of the scripts were perfectly happy until we moved several Macs around, resulting in changes in the network IP addresses. One of the Macs that moved hosted a bunch of files, with lookups between them. I've juggled the new IP addresses into the external data sources, and the nonhosting Macs see the files. Now one particular script, using lookups from another file, fails. What gives? Nothing other than the network addresses has changed.
