I have a system that needs to be available via ODBC. When you go into the Windows ODBC Administrator to create a DSN, the FileMaker 11 driver nicely walks you through the setup process. There is a checkbox to "Connect to host to obtain the names of available Databases"(see attachement). Is there a way to turn off that ability from the server side, or limit it only to the databases that a specific username and password can acces? I know that there is a setting in the FielMaker Server Admin Console that will limit the files available in the Open Remote dialog to only those that a user is authorized to access. Does this extend to ODBC Connections as well?
If not, any thoughts on how to do this?
