In the FileMaker Go 1.2.1 technical brief and in the Module 13 of the training series, it is mentioned that sound and videos are supported in container fields.
Container fields support all image formats supported by iOS: GIF, PNG, JPG, and TIFF. In addition, other file formats—including PDF, Word, and Excel—can be stored and viewed. Sound and video formats are supported and will execute when tapped.
I created a test db with only one container. I created records and inserted (from Menu ¬ Insert...) .mov, .mp4, etc and nothing works. Even the sound I recorded in one record didn't work either. I also tried to insert them as 'files' but when I carry the test.fp7 file on my iPad2 or my iPhone 4, nothing works. I either get a file path or an icon with the name of the file. When I click on either of those, the only thing I get is a prompt to insert something as if the field was empty.
What I'm I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
