1. summary parts show if there are NO body parts, for example.
2. also if they are based on a sort, that sort must be performed to show the subsummary part
NOTE: you can have multiple summaries in the same report and show "different" reports based just on what's sorted!
3. you can create a "virtual report" that has the body parts and a row that is just summaries (calculated), but it's a lot of work. I used this when I needed to show different totals for an estimation solution.
Thanks for responding. However this doesn't clear up my issue. I have FMPA 11. Two reports, both with subtotals, no body part displaying on either. Both show correctly in Preview. Go to Browse, one continues to display all three subtotals, the other, with four subtotals and a trailing grand summary, only displays the trailing grand summary. Makes no sense.
The report had been brought over from a FMP 6 and converted using FMP 9 conversion routine. I re-built the report from scratch using exactly the same parameters and it now displays as expected.
