This is quite straightforward. Go to Layout mode and create a button. You are presented with options. Scroll to endo of list in left pane and under miscellaneous, choose - Send Mail. On right pane, click "specify". here you can choose how you are sending mail, whether directly from your SMPT server, your email client etc with further optimisation to email with attachment etc. You can eithersend to a found list or individually. Please note that for full HTML formatting, it is necessary to use a plug in.

I notice you are using a Mac..... I know nothing about those devices at all – However, you need to use a little common sense to pull in information from your database to populate the fields.
The email address can be from a calculation in the database for instance so that would get round pulling up your address book. Similarly, you can show who the email is coming from if you have different aliases in your organisation. Same goes for the content and subject line.
