So, I got this issue. I'd like to be able to send a google map link to customers who have either forgotten how to find us, or are new, and trying to find us.
In our customer table, we collect name, address, city, state, zip, and email (among other attributes). I have a nice little calculated text field for building the URL for a google map with our store's address "hard coded" thusly:
"http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr="&Address&"+"&City&"+"&State&"+"&Zip&"&daddr="&"7200 North Park Drive Pennsauken, NJ 08109"
The nice little calculated field returns this:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=311 Knolltop Lane, Haddonfield, NJ, 08033&daddr=7200 North Park Drive Pennsauken, NJ 08109
(which works flawlessly when I copy and paste into any browser)
So far, so good - BUT
When this field is used in sending an email either through the email client or through SMTP (in FileMaker), the resulting email reads thus:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=311 Knolltop Lane+Haddonfield+NJ+08033&daddr=7200 North Park Drive Pennsauken, NJ 08109
Notice that the link winds up truncated. Just after house number, the link drops off, leaving me with a useless link.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks, as always - D
