The previous FileMaker Technical Network program for $99 did not include FileMaker Pro Advanced.
The current FileMaker Developer Subscription (FDS) includes electronic downloads of:
Development License for FileMaker Server Advanced
FileMaker Training Series for FileMaker 11
Pre-release software (when available)
Hope this clarifies,
Now that Filemaker 12 is released, will it include Training Series for Filemaker 12?
If Filemaker Pro is not included, what is the best way for a developer to obtain a copy for testing and development work? Is there a discount provided for developers somewhere?
The FileMaker Training Series (FTS) for FileMaker 12 will be coming in June. There are 2 ways to get it:
1) If you have a FileMaker Developer Subscription (FDS) you'll automatically get a copy when it's released.(You'll know if you have it by checking your Subscription & Membership Status on the Developer Community site)
2) The second way to get a copy of the FTS training materials is to purchase it from the FileMaker store.
There is not a discount for FileMaker Pro for TechNet members. However, the Development License of FileMaker Server Advanced is included in the FDS subscription.
FileMaker Business Alliance members do receive FileMaker Pro Advanced as part of their membership.
Let me know if I can direct you to get more information about these programs.
For the last few years they have given out NFR copies of Advanced at DevCon it's one of the perks of attending. If you plan to go and can hold off buying until then you'll most likely get a copy but as Delfina says TechNet never included a copy of FMPA only a limited version of FMSA to use for testing your solutions.
Thanks for the info, I won't be there but good to know! I guess I'll just have to buy my own copy!
The SBA - business alliance used to (may still include) Pro Advanced...
Hi, Where should I download Filemaker Server 16 Development?
If you are an FDS (subscriber), click the Home menu above and then on the "Access Benefits" on the right side of the screen.
