When building a database in FM pro it gives an option to auto compleate the answers from existing values.
however when you try this on a ipad or iphone it gives no auto answers.
So my question is, is this possible or is it just an option for pro?

I see the same thing here - auto-complete works in Pro, but doesn't work in Go. Sorry the news is not better.
As far as I know, it should work - and I don't see it mentioned in the list of unsupported features of FM Go that's available in the documentation from the TechNet iOS Resouces, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to suppose it's an issue with the current release of Go.
That being the case, you might want to pay a visit to the "Report an Issue" link at http://forums.filemaker.com to make sure that the relevant folk at FMI are made aware of it.

Considerations for data entry on a device
* Only fields are supported in the tab order. You can set up Tab and Return, but not Enter, to go to the next field.
* You can’t insert values into a field from an index on the device, and you can’t Auto-complete using existing values.

p.s. lots of goodies under the "iOS Resoures" tab navigation on this site.

I appreciate the correction. Quite right, and I'm afraid I missed that reference tucked away on the bottom of page 13 (maybe I focussed too heavily on the summary list of unsupported features on p9 - and it doesn't make an appearance there!).
Meanwhile, it's great that there's a definitive answer. Not so great that it's a 'no'... :/
Thanks again for catching my error.
I have to admit, I had to search the PDF...
I have all the iOS PDFs in a folder, so I can search the folder for such things. Love that about Spotlight and Preview App on the Mac.
Thank you both for your quick responses. Even though it's a no. I still love the whole system.
As they have mentioned it in a PDF. I wonder if it's something that is not possible or something they just haven't got around to yet. Hopefully the latter.
Thanks again for all your help.
