created a "days outstanding" calulations as Get:currentdate) - sent date................which worked, except i need to count days from sent date to received date, even if recieved date is blank. Where did i go wrong?
Not sure exactly what you need. Are you saying you want to count days from sent date to today unless received date is populated? Or do you want it to have some default value if received date is blank?
I want to count days from sent date unless received date is filled in.

Case ( SentDate and not ReceivedDate ; Get (CurrentDate) - SentDate )
Your image is blank, BTW.
Thanks, it closed entered records, I’ve created a test record and will know for sure tomorrow.

This workedJ How do I create a report that ONLY show RFI’s that have days outstanding?
IIUC, you need to find records that have something in the SentDate field and nothing in the ReceivedDate field.
yes. The report I currently have set up shows all RFI's.

I believe Michael was suggesting that to get your report to display only RFIs with days outstanding value, you should add a Perform Find [ ] script step to the script that prepares the report (or create such a script if you don't have one already). Hence the suggestion to find records that have something in the SentDate field and nothing in the ReceivedDate field.
However, if you've succcessfully implemented the calculation field to produce a count of days from the sent date, you should be able to simply perform a find with an asterisk (to find all records with a value) entered as the find criterion in the calculation field. It won't be any quicker to run, but it may be a little easier to implement. ;)

I’ve never written a script, could you send an example?

Sure, why not. See attached file.
The example script is just that - one of the various ways you might construct the simplest of scripts to automatically display a report. You may need to make some adjustments to arrive at something that suits your current purposes, but it should give you some ideas to work with.
I tried it, it didn’t work as anticipated. I’ll keep working on it
