My client has somehow messed up his runtime database. He has e-mailed it back to me. I can open it in Filemaker Pro, however, it does not show up when I use Developer Utilities. I assumed something was wrong with the database file, so I tried to to run Recover, it is greyed out and not selectable.
Does it have the correct suffix?
The suffix is totally irrelevant, even no suffix at all would do.
You can't make a Runtime from a Runtime.
The file must be closed to be recovered.
If anything else fails I could likely repair the file.
See <http://fmdiff.com/repairs.html> for details.
possibly not. The other day I received a file that filemaker did not "see" in the open file dialog until I supplied a suffix.
That may as well depend on the platform in use, which was not mentioned yet.
