Does anyone know how to open a pdf to a designated bookmark using a url in webviewer?
Could you try this file ?
What do you see ?
It needs at least FMP 10.
You may need to use PDFObject (http://www.pdfobject.com/):
Thanks, Dimitris. I tried this on the web viewer but it didn't work. Any other thoughts?

it seems to work to me.
Which is your current URL ?
"file:C:/FM/xslt_page_template_fmsa/page_template/XSLT Sol EULA.pdf#page=2"
Yes. I used the URL :
File:L:/Litdata/fmp12_users_guide.pdf#page=2, which is a network drive. It brings up the pdf in the webviewer but does not take it to page 2.
Thanks for any other thoughts anyone might have.
Sometimes it isn't working also here.
But this is the trick I used. ( don't ask )
I created a text field with ( inside ):
Xfile:C:/FM/xslt_page_template_fmsa/page_template/XSLT Sol EULA.pdf#page=2
and the webviewer pointing at that text field.
By eliminating the leading X, the pdf will appear in the way you asked.
Another way is to attach a trigger ( OnObjectExit ) to that field that fires a single step script:
Set Web Viewer [ Object name: "wv" ; Action: Reset ]
Thanks much but it still isn't working. Could it have anything to do with settings in the pdf itself?

I'd check that the Bookmark is defined correctly in the PDF. What version of PDF it is, how it was created etc...
Also check that you are using the Adobe plugin in Safari.
When I enter the URL in my web browser (IE) it works. When I try to open the pdf to the correct page or bookmark using the Filemaker webviewer it only opens it to the first page.
It works! It opened the pdf to the correct page. Are all of these parameters required for it to work or is there something else that I'm missing?
As I said before, you only need to use a trigger that fires the resetting of the WebViewer.
Thanks very much.
