I just put the audio into a container field, then tap it, and I hear the audio.
How does one put the audio into a container field with FM Go?
You can't. The audio needs to be loaded into the container while still on a desktop.
I have a Filemaker application, created on my laptop, and moved to my iPad running FM Go.
I just downloaded a song, tapped the empty container field in one of my records, imported the downloaded song. I tapped the container field again, and the song is playing great!
I have done something similar using the iPad dictation - i.e. I recorded my voice, imported it into the container filed on the ipad, and it played back.
So putting audio onto the iPad container filed was done after it was on my iPad.
I'm interested in finding out exactly how you inserted the audio file into the container field. Copy/Paste? If so, what app did you use to get the audio clip on your iPad's clipboard?
When you tap into a container field in FM Go, you are presented with 3 options: 1) Choose From Library, 2) Get Signature , 3) Take Photo.
I hope you aren't talking about a product that you shouldn't be talking about.
When I tapped the empty container field on my ipad, a pop offered me the option of
Camera, audio, signature, photos, music, or files.
I am begining to think we may be using different versions of the ipad Filemaker go software, so I will leave it at that.
You are. And it's one you should not be discussing. Remember your NDA?
This should probably go no further.
I'm sure you have seen by now, but FM Go 12 should take care of all your needs.
And meanwhile FMP 12 has in effect ruined the ability to record voice/audio... Great going!
(Go does this very well indeed!)
Using FM Go 12, after I record audio into a container field on the iPad, is there any way to play it back immediately. If I touch the container field again it only gives me the choice of replacing the audio I just recorded or deleting it.
