Has anyone been able to create a web site using the FMStudio Pro extension for Dreamweaver 5.5 and FMS 12. I can make a successful connection to a database hosted by FMSA 12 but no Layouts or Scripts are shown as the should b.
Yes, that would be the case ... All you need to do is to move the file: FileMaker.php and the folder FileMaker (with all the php-stuff in it) ... good luck!
Hi Greg ... I'm not on DW 5.5, but 4.something ... I wasen't able to make the two click either ... until I copied the PHP API from FileMaker to the root folder of my site. That did the trick for me!
I'll give it a try. If it works that would mean th PHP API that FMStudio installs is outdated I Would think.
Yes Sir I just did that and it worked, THANKS.
Cool .. congrats ...
Glad to be able to help you!
I emailed FMWebSchool on Wednesday to see if there were any issues with FM 12 and FMStudio Pro v1.1 and have yet to receive a response.
I did the same this week but also have not receiived a reply [e-mail and a support ticket].
See above from Heine a solution that worked for me:)
I wouldn't sit by the computer, waiting for a reply from Stephen, Michael or anyone at fmwebschool... They pretty much ditched their entire customer base after the soft release of FMStudio. They keep (or should I say kept) talking about their fantastic support system, but I guess they (supporters) are not there either.
Really, really sad, because FMStudio is truly a great product, and I'll continue using it, for as long as it works with FMS and DW
I came to the same concultion awhile bck and ended getting BANNED from their Forum for saying pretty much the same thing. It really is a shame now that FMI has droppped the PHP Site Assistant from FM 12. They will miss a real opportunity for those who relied on it.
Own up to the problem FMWebschool.. thats all we want. Your losing serious credibility.
After sending over the question on April 5th, i finally received a response from someone over at FMWebSchool:
Thank you for contacting us. We are finishing up testing with FileMaker 12 and so far everything is functioning properly. The only change is that the latest version of the PHP for API needs to be used. If you do not have access to those files, please let me know and I will forward you a copy directly.
That's actually good news, sort of. That means that there's still a heart beat over there ... I wish they would be more visible to us and participate more in the forum!
I had the same repsonse and have asked them for the files - but I asked my original question some 2 weeks ago.
We have a rather large FileMaker/PHP website built with FMStudio. It works great, but we have new needs and a few small fixes, and do not want to rewrite the entire site. So we need someone who know FMStudio. The developer who wrote it, is no longer available, so need some help. We are located in Sunnyvale, CA. But this could be done remotely, using TeamViewer or the like.
Please contact us by calling:
Or by calling my cell phone: 510.432.7470 James Toland (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Thanks so much. We are looking for a developer who knows FMStudio.
