Why no custom Themes?

I selected 'Classic" for a theme and it defaults to Helvetica 16. But I want to default to Geneva 12 (call me old fashioned, if you want). Why did they remove this ability (to set default font and size on a layout). Ok, if the new 'theme' thing prevents this, then why am I limited to the existing themes. I have never found FileMaker's themes to be all that "rich, beautiful ..." as they state in the New features notes. I don't want to have to go around correcting fonts all the time, or using the font copy or painter features, just to have what I want. PLEASE? can I set my own custom theme, at least?
