Michael. You can remove any fields or objects from TAB ORDER and that should help your "jumps" to those fields.
these are the instructions for FM11, but should be the same for FM12 for those who have it:
Also you can script the "scroll window" if you still need to do that:
I am having a problem with my screen jumping around. Currently I have a few globals being used to store part numbers for my companies requests. As part of my script I have added "clears" to my globals to ensure that I was not sending wrong p/n info. I have located these fields in the bottom right of my layout seeing that they should never be seen. As the script runs my screen will jump to those field causing me to scroll back up and to the left. Is this a position problem or is it something within "clear"? Can I make it to where it will clear without jumping to that certain field? I am using FM11 Advanced.
Instead of using Clear, try using SetField with each of the fields you clearing.
Set them to a value of "" (empty quotes).
Tom's point includes that you don't need to field on the layout, at all, to use the SetField.
Thanks everybody very much. Using SetField works great. No jump at all. I will eventually remove these fields from my layout but for now it makes debug alot easier. Thanks once again.
Thank you for your suggestion. I only had two tabbed fields on my layout. I went ahead and removed them just in case it was some weird case. Thanks.
