May be it´s a bug. Didn´t investigate too much in reproducing it.
I group everything in the footer and align it to the top - that works.
Does the problem resolve if you simply move or resize the window rather than changing view of the layout?
We do not see this problem in our business files, but we have screen resizes and positions in almost all of our onOpen scripts so this may be fixing things in our case.
I think this is the header bug I encountered since 10. It has to do with the subsummary parts. If the current record is on a record that is the first in the summary it will work, if it isnt then it will fail.
Tested what you said, but it doesn´t matter where the current record is.
All the buttons in the footer only appear, when I change from layout mode to browse mode. They are there, when changing from table view to list view. But they are gone, when changing from form view to list view.
I've got the same thing. Pulling my hair out to find something to work! Pretty much makes my app useless! Can't use all the new features in FM12 until this gets resolved!
Would love to be kept up to date on a solution!
Confused and Perplexed
Found a solution! It's a simple as changing the anchoring from bottom anchor of the footer items, which makes sense, to changing them to anchor to the top. It doesn't change their position, it's still in the footer, it just makes them display for whatever reason.
I just switched to 12 and got the same thing, but only on one layout! Sub-summary, list view. My workaround is this:
Enter Preview Mode
Enter Browse Mode
I haven't tested in FM Go yet.
