Hello to all,
I am working on a solution based on the FM BPkit.
All I have customed work fine, but I can't get the
monthly or yearly quantity sold per product right.
Could anyone who had work on the starter kit help me
That's great news. I'm glad it helped.
For the yearly and monthly totals, I'm not sure what direction you would like to go there. You could run a script prior to the report layout that either finds the slips by date range and then add a subsummary part and sort the sales by month. Put a copy of the total field into the subsummary part and you'll have the monthly totals.
The BP kit can be a great starting point, but you may have to dig deeper to find the problem. It would seem that a report based on the sales invoice table (sorry I can't recall the exact name right now and don't have it handy to check), should give you the amounts you're looking for. I've used the starter for ideas and demos, but since it was built as a multi-file solution, I've never used it for any production environment.
One option is to go to the table/file where all of the sales items are recorded, create a new layout, but use the Report layout type and it'll help build the totals and summaries you might be missing. It's a nice little tool that makes some of the summary reports much faster to build than by hand, and once you have that report, you can edit as needed to fit the rest of your solution.
Thank you Tim,
Tryed to reply you earlyer but looks like FM server was down??
I read you, took a big breath, and in 5 min I could get the totals.
Sometime we forget the simpliest think and thank you for the guidance.
Now I'll work on having those totals Yearly and Monthly.
I'll do that this week-end.
I can see that you ride bike also. What's your bike? Looks like a fast one....
Good luck and let me know how it goes.
I switched to a Honda Silver Wing (maxi scooter) after foot surgery left me unable to shift. It's a twin 600 and it gets well over the legal posting in short order, and I'm really pleased with it as a touring bike. This will be the fifth DevCon I've ridden to and I'm adding a coast-to-coast trip into the mix just for fun (about 2500 miles in 48 hours).
Have a great weekend,
That's a very nice bike.
Sorry for your foot. The good think is that you can still ride.
2500 miles in 48 H, thats a lot of km, I'm impressed. Must be
a great ride. I got my licence here in Japan 2 years ago.
My 1st real ride was Tokyo to Hokkaido and Hokkaido for 4 days,
then back to Tokyo.
Thanks! I'm hoping to get on a Gold Wing some day. Will you be able to make it to DevCon?
I was checking my messages....
Did you get the chance to ride the Gold Wing?
