The stored files are now managed and backed up by FMS along with the database. Backups are now lean and mean for files that never change.
ok, so if I have a stand-alone solution (non networked), then I suppose there is no real difference?
There is a difference. FMS manages the file storage completely. There is no need for the client computers (Mac or PC) to have the shared network volume mounted. This is a good thing.
The down-side is that the stored files shound not be directly accessed by anything or anybody other than FMS, so there is still a place for SuperContainer.
