Does anyone know if it is possible to log out an FM Go 12 client from FMP 12 (nb not server) serving a file accessed only on the desktop and by one occurrence of FM Go?
To make that clear:
Host: PC laptop running FMP 12
User 1: On that same PC
User 2: FM Go on iPod Touch
Desired outcome. Tell file on FM12 to close. This logs out the user on the iPod and (maybe) closes FM Go, closes the file in FMP, all without any dialogs or other messages or further user interaction.
Also I'd like the file to open in Go on the iPod when the main file is opened.
You really need FMSerrver to do this safely.
Disconnecting a peer-to-peer client (Pro as host) is generally done inadvertently by closing the Pro application, which crashes the other client(s). Always dangerous.
Only server has the tools to safely disconnect a client, either on Pro or Go.
