Did you ever manage to solve this? I have a client asking for driving distance between 2 uk postcodes. All the potential answers look very complex, somebody must have solved this
This URL will give you a result if you use Insert from URL where DISTANCES is your table and Start and End two addresses.
"http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/directions/xml?origin=" & DISTANCES::Start & "&destination=" & DISTANCES::End & "&sensor=false"
That result can be parsed to get distance in time and mileage (hint look for the <duration> and <distance> tags. I have custom functions that do that parsing. If scripting a bunch of these, It's also helpful to have some error checking to make sure the URL gets loaded before advancing.

Actually yes, I did. DavidJondreau has the right idea, we pulled the data in and parsed it to return the correct results.
