Can you describe the situation a little more? Can they see the hosted files but they get an error when they try to open the file?
Is the server on their own network?
The files cannot be seen from this particular machine, although they can from others.
It is not hosted on the same network.
The "Open Recent" option (although the file is there) does not work either.
The trigger point was the upgrade to 9.03 although as I say, going back to 9.01 has not fixed it.
check the size of the "server.pem" file in the FM folder on that workstation and compare it to the same file on one of the worstations that still works. If it is significantly bigger on the machine that does not work, replace it with the one from the machine that works.
This is a known issue in FM9, but you'd typically get some sort of error when you try to connect, which is why I was asking about any messages.
I think the file you are identifying is on Windows installs (the client is running on a Mac), a quick search on my machine shows these files on my Bootcamp drive, so I think that's the case.
Any idea what the soloution is on a Mac?
He's not really getting an error message as he can't see the file to try and open it. I'll ask what happens if he selects the recent item.
Error message from client…
Yes I can see the files when I use File open recent. Then when I select a file it says "Candidate Details.fp7 could not be opened. Either the host is not available, or the file is not available on that host".
Cheers, I've passed this info on, I'll le tyou know how it pans out.
Done, that's solved it. Cheers Sébastien
