Pull the number to a NUMBER field and sort by it. If you use an auto-enter this will populate as each new record is created. You can script replace the previous created records.

I recommend that you create a new Calculation field (stored) and sort by the new field.
The specifics of the calculation will depend on the variability of your UniqueNumber field.
If the prefix is always three characters, as shown in your example, you could have something as simple as
where the calculation field is set to return a Number result.
Note that GetAsNumber() on your original field won't work since the "." is interpreted as a decimal causing JS.10 and JS.100 to be the same 0.1 value.

If I pull these numbers to a number field, I'm afraid they will sort as if they were decimals, not seperators.
