I posted some notes on controlling Record Level Access (RLA) views to your other thread.
Sorting the records is not really the problem; the Found Set needs to be controlled via scripting.
Another approach could be to take the user to a single-record table with a portal listing all records, but filter the portal based on the User ID. The portal could be sorted as well, in any order. Doing the navigation to individual records from (and to) this portal view would help control the user so they did not land on records with <No Access> due to RLA controls in the user permissions.
Could you create a relationship to the main file that is based on the current username or logon ? With those details stored in each record at time of data entry. You could do this with "levels" of users as well.
If your layout is based on that relationship then the user can only see their records. I've done this with an IWP solution and seems to work well.
